The Freedom Junkie's Toolbox

There are a lot of great products out there to you help better manage your life and free up your time. In Natalie's challenge today she mentioned 4 amazing ones; Asana for project management, Google products like the calendar and drive, Evernote for managing notes or ideas and LastPass for saving all of your passwords. Bonus. They're all free.

I've been meaning to check some of these out but for now, my absolute favorite time management tool is Google everything, especially Google calendar. I have each day chunked out and color coded, and I have my phone set to alert me for each new session so I don't have to watch the clock. The freedom to craft my day is still new to me so I am making adjustments as I go but for now, here's my whole week for you to see.

I took a que from my favorite photographer Chase Jarvis when planning this out. He posted his own schedule on his blog in Do Less = Do More. The Art of Being Creative + Productive. I also drew some inspiration from another great book called "Daily Rituals: How Artists Work". This is a great book if you ever wondered how Benjamin Franklin woke up in the morning or what Frank Lloyd Wright's daily routine was like.

"She kept a bottle of vodka by her bedside, reaching for it as soon as she woke and marking the bottle to set her limit for the day" -Daily Rituals, How Artists Work (Patricia Highsmith)

Natalie also mentioned mediation app she loves called Headspace. I started trying it a few days ago and I love it too; so where you see meditate inorigami my schedule you can be sure i'm using it! For "Music" right now I'm trying to learn guitar. "Beauty" means I take some time to pamper myself and "Fun" or "Play" mean things like learn a new skill to try hula hooping. Last week I tried origami.

More specific tasks and appointments I write down in a planner. I've also given myself a bunch of random days off and on weekends like today there is no schedule, but I'm excited because tomorrow one of my friends is going to teach me to fly a drone! He has assured me it's rookie-proof.
